Louise Lilford: How to help boys achieve better results in school In-Person
Large national surveys all say the same thing – Australian children are struggling and it's affecting their learning. In the Mission Australia survey, 25% of boys disclosed that they were experiencing mental health problems. Distress diminishes our capacity to learn. Explaining to boys how their brains work and helping them identify their strengths starts the process of individualising study routines. We will discuss ways to bust some myths and dispel a few unhelpful practices. By providing our boys with well researched and scientifically based evidence on how to study effectively, they can be convinced that they can improve their results.
